the star chamber

刚刚看了the star chamber. 老师推荐的电影。

美国的法官也真郁闷。

it's really depressing. The so called judges, they are not really justice.

Sometimes I wonder what is justice. does justice really exist? or it is just what people imagine in mind. the things exist, the standard we use to judge things, right, wrong, kind, generous, mean, all the adjectives, they just exist in our minds and everyone has different ways to dicide what is right or what is wrong to himself.

so the judges, they are only allowed to make dicisions about laws. law, here, are the side opposite to human's emotion. people have feelings about guilt or innocence. but we cant just sent a person into prison just according to people's feelings. judging people by feelings, that's what we call dictatorship. ist it? the most strong feelings, it can become the most horrible power. since human's feeling cant control itself, no one can predict what it can bring about. and if we judge things by it, we just cant string our acts know what we should do. law should be explicit, and feelings cant be.

let me clear that. the reason why we need law, maybe is that law can be closer to logos. we can be as emotional as we want, but as to confining others, we have to be rational.

ok, that's not appropriate. in fact now i dont know whether i can say what is totally right or wrong. the normal standard we always use to judge things, they are all too narrow. and ,if we think of somethings with great respect or hate, it can reach another side, which we never thought it would. the more strong the power is, the more guilty it can become.

oh, i find that i'm becoming more and more ,how to say, 'zhongyong'. : )

thinking is painful. searching for the so called truth is annoying, cause it may never exist. even thought it does... no, it doesnt.

just now i suddenly find that why people need religions. nothing is the real truth, while anything can be the real truth. it depends on ourselves. body may dont need religion, but heart needs. we need a truth, no matter what it is, we just need one.

so, in the movie, the 'star chamber', which should represent justice, can become the one that lose control. there isnt clear difference between it and a guilty machine, is there.
